1988 Earthquake Memorial

This memorial, named "Innocent Victims, Merciful Hearts," commemorates those killed in the 1988 Spitak earthquake. It stands in the courtyard of Surb Amenaprkich (Holy Savior) Church in Gyumri, the regional center of Shirak.
The earthquake devastated Gyumri and the surrounding area, and this site remains a place of remembrance for the losses of that year.
