Abac Kids - Erebuni

Abac Kids - Erebuni is a branch of Abac Academy, a mental arithmetic teaching network that uses the abacus (bead calculation frame) method to train children in fast mental math. The method was brought to Armenia in 2016 by Narine Balayan and Diana Hovhannisyan, who opened the first center on Demirchyan Street under the name "Abac." Since then the academy has grown into a network of Abac Kids branches, both inside Armenia and abroad.

The academy runs an annual competition for its students called the ABAC Olympiad. The 2026 edition held its awards ceremony on May 17 at Yerevan Park, with qualifying rounds at the Tigran Mets hall of the Yerevan Marriott. It drew 425 participants from across Armenia as well as Georgia and Cyprus, with additional entrants competing online from the United States, France, Germany, Spain and Latvia. Children compete by age group and by level of arithmetic difficulty, and top performers at the hardest levels receive cash prizes from the academy.

This branch is in Yerevan's Erebuni district, roughly 4 km south of the city center in a straight line.
