Aghitu-3

Aghitu-3 is a cave near Sisian, in Syunik region — the only stratified Upper Paleolithic site excavated in Armenia. Its sediment layers date to between 39,000 and 24,000 calibrated years ago.
Archaeologists excavated the site from 2009 to 2019, as part of the Tübingen-Armenian Paleolithic project. It sits at 1,600 meters above sea level, in the south of the country.
Aghitu-3 lies in Syunik region, near the town of Sisian, roughly 153 km east-southeast of Yerevan (straight-line).
