Aghvesasar
Агвесасар · Աղվեսասար
Aghvesasar is a 1,529-meter summit in the Bargushat mountain range, part of Kapan's municipal area in Syunik region. It rises above the right bank of the Karakitukdzor (dzor — gorge or ravine) river, just north of Kaghnut village.
That's essentially the full record. No trail notes, no visitor infrastructure, no local lore turns up in the available sources — only its position and height.
If you're set on climbing it, ask around in Kapan first. Conditions on unmarked peaks like this one are best confirmed locally rather than assumed from a map.
Aghvesasar lies in Syunik region, just north of Kaghnut village near the town of Kapan, roughly 195–200 km southeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.
At 1,529 meters, snow and ice through the winter months make spring through autumn the more reliable stretch for reaching the summit.
