AMROTS" NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
национальный фонд развития «Амроц» · «Ամրոց» ազգային զարգացման հիմնադրամ
"Amrots" ("fortress" in Armenian) is a foundation based in Yerevan that funds and supports national development work. The idea for it took shape during the 44-day war over Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020, when a group of Armenians from the homeland and the diaspora came together to support their compatriots.
One of its running programs is "Tsil tur hayeren" ("Give a sprout to Armenian"), an annual creative competition for teenagers. Entrants write, draw or otherwise create in the Armenian language about their own view of the world; the 2026 edition runs under the theme "My thought in Armenian - I'll voice it to the world." The foundation is directed by Ani Gharabaghtsyan.
The foundation is located in Yerevan itself, so there is no separate travel distance from the capital to note.
