Ararat Regional Library

Ararat Regional Library is the regional library serving Artashat and the surrounding Ararat region. It's organized into separate departments — one for acquiring, processing and preserving the collection, one for reader services, one for bibliographic information, and one for library automation and electronic services.

The library runs a children's program called "Summer at the Library," with organized meetings and activities during the warmer months, and it publishes literary quizzes on its site — on Paruyr Sevak, Yeghishe Charents, Hovhannes Shiraz and other Armenian writers. Hasmik Avagyan directs the institution.

It's open weekdays, 09:00 to 18:00.

The library is in Artashat, in the Ararat region, roughly 24 km south of Yerevan as the crow flies.
