Arevik National Park

Arevik National Park exists to protect the plant and animal life particular to the Meghri area of southern Armenia. It's one of four national parks in the country's protected-areas system.

Created in 2009, the park covers 344 km2 — 34,401.8 hectares — on the southern slope of the Meghri mountain range, part of the larger Zangezur range. Its territory takes in the watershed of the Astghadzor and Nyuvadi rivers.

Arevik National Park lies in southern Syunik Province, ~190 km southeast of Yerevan (straight-line).
