ARMENIAN BONE MARROW DONOR REGISTRY Charitable Trust

The Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry exists to find donors for patients who need a bone marrow match — a charitable trust set up in Yerevan in 2000, run today under Executive Director Sevak Avagyan.

By its own account the registry has signed up more than 33,500 donors across 35 countries on four continents, and works with roughly 9,000 patients. Its operations span donor recruitment, patient-specific recruitment, and a harvesting and cryopreservation center, alongside a partnership with EFI.

The registry keeps a public calendar of fundraising events, including an annual Match For Life gala and Walk of Life walks, and can be reached by phone or through its website.

ABMDR is based in Yerevan, a few kilometers north-northeast of the city center.
