ARMENIAN TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND
Армянский фонд территориального развития · Հայկական տարածքային զարգացման հիմնադրամ
The Armenian Territorial Development Fund (ATDF) is a Yerevan-based public fund that finances and manages infrastructure programs aimed at regional development in Armenia. Sargis Baghinyan serves as its executive director.
One of its current programs is a seismic safety improvement effort, carried out with support from the Asian Development Bank. The program is tied to the government's national strategy for reducing disaster risk and aims to raise earthquake resilience along with personal and public safety standards. Its total cost is put at $107 million, of which $88.5 million comes as a loan from the Asian Development Bank.
A second program, the Social Investment and Local Development initiative, works on a demand-driven basis: communities are involved directly in designing, approving, and carrying out the projects. The fund describes having refined its procedures and targeting methods so the program reaches communities with the greatest needs.
ATDF is based in Yerevan, in the Yerevan region — its office location sits roughly 5 km northeast of the city center in straight-line terms.
