Arqayits

Arqayits, also called Shanyol, rises to 2,687 m on the line between Aragatsotn and Kotayk regions, in the Tsaghkunyats mountains. It marks the point where the Marmarik range begins, its ridge running from there toward the Marmarik valley.

The peak sits about 12 km southwest of Marmarik village. Beyond its elevation and position on the regional boundary, little else is recorded about it.

Arqayits stands in Aragatsotn region, on the border with Kotayk, roughly 12 km southwest of Marmarik village and about 41 km north of Yerevan as the crow flies.
