Artik

Артик · Արթիկ

The station dates to 1929, part of the South Caucasus Railway network built through the Shirak plain. Its name simply follows that of the town of Artik, which the line was built to connect to the wider rail system.

There's little to see at the station itself — it's a functional stop rather than a destination — but it marks one of the entry points into the Artik area for travelers arriving by rail.

The station sits in Shirak Province, in the north of Armenia, in or near the town of Artik. The region's main hub, Gyumri, lies to the south and is the usual base for onward travel by road.
