Asttso champa

Тропа Бога · Աստծո ճամփա

Asttso champa is a peak on the northern slope of the Sevan range, part of the Lesser Caucasus, sitting exactly on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Gegharkunik region. Sources disagree by a meter on its height — Armenian records put it at 2,973 m, Russian ones at 2,972 m — but the gap is trivial for a summit nobody measures twice.

Below it, on the right bank of the Yeghdzadzor river, the land runs south toward Jil village. North of the summit sits an old cemetery, noted in Armenian gazetteers but otherwise undocumented — no name, no century, no description of what's actually left up there.

Treat this one as a map point rather than a destination. The summit lies directly on the Armenia-Azerbaijan line, and that alone should tell you what kind of visit, if any, makes sense here.

Asttso champa is in Gegharkunik region, about 4 km northeast of Jil village, roughly 91 km east-northeast of Yerevan in a straight line. The summit itself sits directly on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
