AUA College of Humanities and Social Sciences

CHSS is one of the academic colleges at the American University of Armenia, covering humanities and social sciences rather than the university's technical or business tracks. Undergraduates can study English and Communications or Politics and Governance, with minors available in Genocide Studies and Human Rights, Gender Studies, and Philosophy.

At the graduate level the college offers a Master of Laws, an MA in Human Rights and Social Justice, an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy, an MA in Public Affairs, an MA in Multiplatform Journalism, and an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, along with graduate certificates in TEFL and translation.

Four research centers operate under CHSS: the Center for Research in Applied Linguistics, the Turpanjian Institute of Social Sciences, the Legal Resource Center, and the Center for Excellence in Journalism.

CHSS sits in Yerevan, about 2 km north-northwest of the city center in straight-line distance.
