Berd History museum
Бердский Музей Истории · Բերդի պատմության թանգարան
Berd History museum documents the town's past and the wider Tavush region's, from testimony on the Armenian Genocide to farm tools and pottery dug up locally. It opened in 1981 and now holds 624 items, with 434 on permanent display, 34 of them books.
Exhibits also cover the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. Carpets, embroidery and musical instruments sit alongside handicrafts and farming tools recovered from digs across Tavush region.
A portrait collection features Aram Khachatryan, Arno Babajanyan, Komitas, Paruyr Sevak and William Saroyan, shown next to paintings by local artist Romeo Melikyan.
Entrance is free, and the museum runs excursions with parking, Wi-Fi, and a WC on site; photography and video are allowed, though there's no cafe or souvenir shop. It's listed as suitable for children. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 17:00.
The museum is in Tavush region, roughly 107 km northeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.
