Population Special Service SNCO

Population Special Service SNCO — State Non-Commercial Organization — is the body responsible for cemetery administration in Yerevan. Its website posts notices on how burials are handled for people who die in prisons, hospitals, care homes, and orphanages, and explains who runs community cemeteries versus state ones.

One notice states that new burial plots are issued free of charge, and that residents can apply in person at open cemeteries for an allocation permit. Another, dated 9 November 2022, describes cleanup work carried out at the Karmir Blur cemetery.
