Bovnots
Бовноц · Բովնոց լեռ
Bovnots is a mountain on the northern slopes of the Vardenis range, in Gegharkunik region, reaching 2,480 meters. It sits about 4.5 km southeast of the village of Akunk.
There's little more on record about it beyond its position and height — a modest summit within the Vardenis range rather than a landmark peak.
Bovnots lies in Gegharkunik region near the town of Vardenis, roughly 105 km east of Yerevan in a straight line, on the northern flank of the Vardenis mountains close to Akunk village.
At nearly 2,500 meters, snow cover into late spring and open exposure in winter are worth planning around if approaching on foot.
