Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God
Церковь Святой Богородицы · Սուրբ Աստվածածին (Յոթ Վերք)
The Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God went up between 1873 and 1884 on the northern edge of Vartanants Square in Gyumri, and it still serves as the seat of the Diocese of Shirak of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
People here also call it Yot Verk, meaning "Seven Wounds" — a name that sticks even though the church's formal dedication is to the Holy Mother of God.
The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
The cathedral is in Gyumri, in Shirak region, about 88 km northwest of Yerevan in a straight line.
