The Chess Federation of Armenia has run the country's chess affairs since 1926. It organizes national and international tournaments, tracks player rankings, and oversees qualification standards for competitive play.
Its site lists current tournament schedules — among them a 2026 national men's and women's semifinal in Yerevan and the Tsaghkadzor Open in October — along with rankings for the country's top-rated men and women players. Serzh A. Sargsyan serves as president.
