Chess House is Armenia's central venue for organized chess, standing on Khanjyan Street in Kentron (Yerevan's central district). The building opened in 1970. Architect Zhanna Meshcheryakova gave it an unusual triangular footprint, set among the blocks along the fourth section of the Ring Boulevard. Tigran Petrosian, the ninth world chess champion, laid the first stone himself before construction began.

Fourteen years after it opened, in 1984, the center took Petrosian's name. It's listed among Yerevan's protected monuments of history and culture, within the Kentron district's registry.

Contact details on file list a phone line and two web addresses, chesshouse.am and armchessschool.am — the second belonging to the Armenian Chess School.

Chess House sits in Yerevan itself, in the Kentron district, on Khanjyan Street within the fourth section of the Ring Boulevard.
