Gegharkunik Mountain

Gegharkunik Mountain tops out at 2,437 meters, making it the high point of the Gegharkunyats mountain chain. It sits about 2.5 km northwest of the village of Yeranos.
In Soviet-era administrative terms, the peak marked the boundary between the former Kamo and Martuni districts of the Armenian SSR — a line that no longer exists on current maps but still shows up in older references to the area.
The mountain is in Gegharkunik region, roughly 55 km east of Yerevan in a straight line, just northwest of the village of Yeranos.
