Gevorg Grigoryan museum

музей Геворга Григоряна · Գևորգ Գրիգորյանի (Ջիոտտո) արվեստանոց-թանգարան

The Gevorg Grigoryan museum occupies the artist's former studio on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan, set up in 1977 by his widow Diana Uklеba together with a group of fellow artists. Grigoryan, known by the nickname Jiotto, was a Soviet-era Armenian painter honored as a Merited Artist of the Armenian SSR.

The building was rebuilt in 1987, when the exhibition halls were enlarged and a second floor added. That renovation turned the studio into a branch of the National Gallery of Armenia. It's now run by art historian Arpine Saribekyan.

The museum sits in Yerevan's Kentron district, on Mashtots Avenue, about 1 km north-northeast of central Yerevan in a straight line.
