Ghuk
Гхук · Գհուկի վանք
Ghuk, also known as Bolorahar, is an Armenian Apostolic monastery tucked into the upper end of a gorge between two mountains, 3-4 km northwest of Arzakan village in Kotayk region. Dense forest surrounds it, and beyond its location and church affiliation, little else has been recorded about its history or layout.
That scarcity of detail is itself telling: this isn't a stop with a visitor center or a plaque explaining its founding. It's a forest church known mainly to locals and to those who go looking for it.
Ghuk stands in Kotayk region near Arzakan village, not far from Charentsavan, roughly 33 km north of Yerevan as the crow flies.
The site sits inside dense forest on a gorge slope, so wet or snowy months will make the ground harder going than summer or early autumn.
