Gosh Lake

Гош · Գոշալիճ

Gosh Lake is a small lake set in forest inside Dilijan National Park, in Tavush region. It takes its name from Gosh village, roughly 2 km away. Sources disagree on the exact bearing — one places the lake southwest of the village, another southeast — so treat the direction as unconfirmed until you check a current map.

The lake was formerly called Tzrka. What that name meant, and when it changed, isn't recorded, so take it as a bare fact rather than a story.

There are no facilities here — no benches, no kiosk, no signage. The lake sits inside a protected tract of the national park, so the woods around it aren't logged or built up. Come for the water and the trees, nothing more organized than that.

Gosh Lake lies in Tavush region, about 2 km from Gosh village and near Dilijan. The approach track isn't detailed here — best checked locally before setting out. In straight-line terms, it sits roughly 74 km northeast of Yerevan.
