Great Spitakasar
Спитакасар · Սպիտակասար
Great Spitakasar is a volcano and the second-highest summit of the Gegham mountain range, rising to 3,560 meters above sea level. It sits at the point where Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Ararat marzes meet, in the central stretch of the range.
Beyond its height and position, little else is documented about the peak — no marked trail, hut, or named route is on record here.
Great Spitakasar lies in Gegharkunik marz, roughly due east of Yerevan, about 43 km away in a straight line, at the point where Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Ararat marzes converge.
