Gregory Diehl's Kalavan Guesthouse and Retreat Center

Kalavan Retreat Center is a guesthouse and residency program in Kalavan village, founded in 2024 by American-Armenian author Gregory V. Diehl, who moved to the village in 2019. He describes the project as a small-scale effort to support the village's cultural and economic development.

According to its own description, the center offers workshops, Zen-inspired coaching, and a Montessori-based education component, alongside guesthouse accommodation. It says it takes in international guests for both short stays and longer residencies, pitched at people wanting to step back from routine and focus on personal development.
