Writers' House in Tsaghkadzor has operated since the 1930s as a retreat for Armenian writers. Until 1976 it was a two-story wooden building, since demolished; among those who stayed there were Yeghishe Charents, Avetik Isahakyan, Nairi Zaryan, Hrachya Kochar, Musheg Galshoyan and Vardges Petrosyan.
A new building opened in 1976 and now houses the hotel, run today under director Movses Manukyan. It offers rooms, conference halls and general hotel services.
The hotel is in Tsaghkadzor, Kotayk region, about 43 km north-northeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
