International Carriers Association of Armenia

The International Carriers Association of Armenia is a public organization representing road freight carriers, founded in 1998 and registered as a legal entity on 26 March 2004. It was set up to carry out the provisions of the TIR Convention (1975 Geneva customs agreement on international cargo transport using TIR carnets), which Armenia joined in 1993.

Following a 1999 government decision and recognition by the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the association was designated Armenia's guaranteeing organization for TIR carnets and has issued them since 2001. Karen Gharagyozyan serves as chairman.

The office is open Monday to Thursday, 09:30 to 18:00.

The association's office is in Yerevan, roughly 3 km northeast of the city center (straight-line).
