Ministry of High-Tech Industry of RA

Armenia's high-tech sector answers to this ministry. It issues licenses covering radio-frequency equipment imports, postal communication activity, space activity, and weapons production — a mix that says something about how broadly "high-tech" is defined here.

The ministry also runs a handful of programs aimed at growing the sector: an artificial intelligence virtual institute, state support measures for high-tech fields, the Plug and Play international acceleration program, a grant scheme called "Idea to Business," mass-training initiatives, and hackathons for students and for robotics. Grant announcements, program reports, and contract notices go up on its site as they happen.

Davit Tadevosyan heads the ministry. Office hours run Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00.

The ministry is in Yerevan.
