HIKEArmenia runs a platform out of Yerevan that maps and describes hiking trails around the country, along with local guides and trip planning help. It lists routes ranging from short connectors, like the 7.5 km path linking the Sanahin station district of Alaverdi to the village of Hagvi, to a 15-day traverse from Goris to Kapan through Syunik province along old trade routes past monasteries.

Other trails in its listings include a 16.4 km route between Gosh and Khachardzan villages, an 18.5 km marked path from Dilijan to Gosh, a 19 km trail from Haghartsin Monastery to Dilijan, and the 25.9 km Hovk-Haghartsin trail through Tavush province.

The office is open 10:00-19:00 and can be reached by phone or email; the site itself runs in English, Russian, Armenian, French and German.

The office sits in Yerevan itself, within the capital, so there's no real travel distance involved in reaching it.

Trail conditions in Tavush and Syunik provinces vary by season, so check current conditions for higher-altitude routes before setting out.
