Holy Cross Church (Gavar)

Holy Cross Church (Surb Khach, meaning "Holy Cross") is an Armenian Apostolic church built in stages between the 16th and 20th centuries on Mount Surb Khach, part of the Gegham range in Gegharkunik region. The mountain reaches 2,480 meters, and the church takes its name straight from the peak beneath it.
It stands 10 km from Gavar, the administrative center of Gegharkunik region.
