The Hovhannes Shiraz House-Museum sits in Gyumri's Kumayri historic district and keeps the personal effects, manuscripts and works of the Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz. It was founded in 1983, though it didn't open its doors to visitors until 2003.
The collection stays close to its founding purpose: exhibiting and preserving what Shiraz left behind, rather than presenting a broader survey of his era or literary movement.
Open Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 to 18:00.
The museum is in Gyumri, in Shirak region, about 88 km northwest of Yerevan as the crow flies.
