Hovk-1

Hovk-1 is a cave on the Ijevan ridge at 2,040 meters above sea level, excavated as part of research into middle Paleolithic human presence in the region. Archaeologists use the site to work toward a more precise dating of that occupation.

There's no visitor infrastructure described in available records — this is a research site, not a stop with signage or displays.

Hovk-1 is in Tavush region, near the town of Ijevan, roughly 83 km north-northeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.
