HRANT MATEVOSSIAN" CULTURAL CHARITY FOUNDATION

The Hrant Matevossian Cultural Charity Foundation keeps the online record for the Armenian writer Hrant Matevossian, publishing his own texts alongside notes on people connected to him. The foundation's site serves as an archive and news outlet rather than a physical venue open to visitors.

According to the foundation, the Armenian government decided in June to allocate 50 million dram (Armenian currency) toward starting construction of a museum dedicated to Matevossian. Separately, on September 12, a statue of the writer was installed in the courtyard of the school that bears his name, the work of sculptor Artashes Hovsepyan, an honored artist of Armenia.

The site also hosts a section of Matevossian's own writing, including passages on truth, literature, and the writer's obligation to speak plainly rather than flatter power.
