Ijevan Arboretum, sometimes called Ijevan Subtropical Arboretum, holds about 650 trees and shrubs on the right bank of the Aghstev river, in the town of Ijevan, Tavush region. Mushegh Aghinyan, Grigor Adamyants and Lyudvig Sayadyan planted it in 1962.

The collection spans every continent except Australia. Species that would never naturally share a hillside grow here side by side.

The arboretum keeps regular hours, 09:00 to 18:00. It's a modest, quiet stop rather than a destination on its own — worth a visit if you're already in Ijevan for the town, or passing through further into Tavush.

Ijevan Arboretum is in Ijevan town, Tavush region, roughly 93 km northeast of Yerevan in a straight line. It sits on the right bank of the Aghstev river, a short walk from central Ijevan.

Spring and early summer bring out the widest range of foliage and flowering, since the collection mixes species with very different growing seasons; winter visits will look sparser.
