The Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography is a research institution in Yerevan, founded in 1959. It's currently directed by Arsen Bobokhyan.

The institute organizes its work into subject departments covering early, ancient and medieval archaeology, epigraphy (inscription studies), ethnography, cultural anthropology, and folklore, including a dedicated section on folklore textual studies. Separate research groups focus on specific projects: the Karashamb burial site and related excavations, the historical and cultural heritage of Artsakh, paleobiology and ethnobiology, applied anthropology, community studies, architectural modeling, heritage monitoring, and experimental archaeology. There's also a section dedicated to diaspora studies.

This is a working research body rather than a public exhibition space — its listed activities are academic departments and study groups, not galleries or displays.

The institute is located in Yerevan, roughly 1 km east-northeast of the city center in a straight line.
