Karas is a fast-food chain built around Armenian regional cuisine. The company says it was founded in 1998, that its first branch opened at Tumanyan 32/36 and still runs today, and that in 2015 it added a second-floor "Grand Buffet" there serving soups, khavarts (cold appetizer salads) and baked goods.
This location runs 24/7 and covers a full spread of meal service — breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and coffee — plus beer and wine. It takes dine-in guests, reservations and groups, and is set up for children.
