Karas is a fast-food chain built around Armenian regional dishes, founded in 1998. It grew quickly into a name Yerevan residents recognize, and its first branch, on Tumanyan 32/36, is still open today.
In 2015 the company added a second-floor section at that branch called Grand Buffet, serving soups, salads and bread items alongside the regular menu.
The restaurant runs 24 hours a day and covers breakfast through dinner, with coffee, dessert, beer and wine also on offer. It takes reservations, serves groups and children, and handles both takeout and delivery.
