Karasun Mankants

Karasun Mankants — roughly "monastery of the Forty Children" — is a 13th-century Armenian apostolic complex on the northwestern edge of Dsegh village in Lori. It occupies a steep spot on the right-hand slope of the Debed gorge known locally as Takhter.
Construction of the main church ran from 1241 to 1256.
The monastery sits above Dsegh village in Lori marz, roughly 88 km north of Yerevan (straight-line).
