Khosrovasar
Хосровасар · Խոսրովասար
Khosrovasar, also known as Kexisdagh, is a 1,988-meter peak in Armenia's Ararat region, rising between the lower courses of the Khosrov and Aghsu rivers, both right-bank tributaries of the Vedi. It sits about 7.5 km northeast of the village of Urtsadzor.
The mountain is built from volcanic sedimentary rock. Its slopes are steep and cut through by ravines, while the summit itself is a bare laccolith (rock dome formed by magma pushed up beneath layered rock) with no tree cover. Lower down, sparse juniper woods and shrubs take over.
In Ararat region, the peak rises about 7.5 km northeast of Urtsadzor village, ~41 km southeast of Yerevan (straight-line).
