Komitas Museum-Institute opened in January 2015 as both an art and biographical museum and a research institute focused on Komitas, the Armenian composer and musicologist. It stands next to the pantheon at Komitas Park in the Shengavit district of Yerevan.

Beyond its exhibits on his life and work, the institute's stated mission is to develop Komitas studies as a field — researching his creative legacy and bringing it to wider audiences.

The museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 16:30.

The museum sits about 2 km south-southwest of Yerevan's center (straight-line), in the city's Shengavit district.
