Komitas Park and Pantheon

Komitas Park and Pantheon combines a public green space with a memorial pantheon, laid out along Arshakunyats Avenue on the southern side of Yerevan. The name honors Komitas, the priest and composer regarded as the father of Armenian classical music.

Beyond its location and dual identity as park and pantheon, little else about the site's layout or history is documented here — it functions as one of the city's avenue-side green spaces with a commemorative dimension.

The park runs along Arshakunyats Avenue, one of Yerevan's main arteries linking the city center to its southern districts, making it easy to reach on foot from nearby avenue-side neighborhoods or by any transport running along Arshakunyats.

As an outdoor park, it's most pleasant in spring and autumn; summer shade from trees offers relief from Yerevan's heat.
