Kul Tepe Jolfa
Кюль-Тепе Джульфа · Քուլ Թեփե Ջուղա
Kul Tepe Jolfa is an ancient settlement mound — a "tepe" is the Persian and Turkic term for a mound built up by centuries of habitation — in Jolfa County, Iran. It sits within the modern city of Hadishahr, about 10 km south of the Araxes River.
Beyond that placement, published sources say little: no excavation dates, artifact finds, or occupation periods are documented for the site. What survives is essentially locational — Kul Tepe Jolfa is recognized as an archaeological point on record, rather than a described or dated one.
Kul Tepe Jolfa is in Jolfa County, Iran, within the city of Hadishahr — roughly 178 km southeast of Yerevan (straight-line), across the Iranian border.
