Magellan cave is a karst cave in Vayots Dzor, counted among the larger such caves documented in Armenia. Surveyors have mapped it to a depth of 1.7 km so far; it holds many short branching passages that remain unexplored.

The cave takes its name from a local hunter, Magelan Arakelyan, who went by the short name Magil — the English rendering "Magellan" reflects that name rather than the explorer.

The entrance opens low on the eastern cliff face of the Gnishik gorge, on the left side of the road that connects the state highway to the Noravank monastery complex, about 7.5 km north of Noravank.

The cave lies in Vayots Dzor region, near Areni, on the eastern cliff of the Gnishik gorge, roughly 78 km southeast of Yerevan (straight-line).
