Menaberd rises to 2,958 meters in the Yeghnakhagh mountain range, on the Armenia-Turkey border in Shirak marz (an administrative region of Armenia). It sits west of the Arpi lake reservoir, about 10 km southwest of the village of Yeghnajur.
