Monument Genocid
Памятник жертвам геноцида · Եղեռնի զոհերի հուշարձան
Monument Genocid is a gratitude monument on the shore of Yerevan Lake, honoring Arab communities of Syria and the Middle East. Despite the name, it doesn't memorialize genocide victims directly — it marks a debt owed to those who sheltered them. Its other names make that clearer: the Armenian-Arab Friendship Monument and the Monument of Guarantee.
What it marks is specific. After the Armenian Genocide, Arab communities across Syria and the Middle East took in and supported Armenian survivors who had lost everything. Armenian communities raised this monument to record that gratitude in stone.
