The National Center for Infectious Diseases-Avan is a government-run medical facility in Yerevan. It was formed by merging two earlier institutions: the "Nork" infectious clinical hospital and the republican center for AIDS prevention, combining their staff and case experience under one roof.
The center's own site says its inpatient clinic operates around the clock, even as administrative hours run Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00. It also states plans for a rebuilt facility with updated equipment, though no date is given for when that would open.
Armen Ohanyan serves as director. The center can be reached by phone or email for general inquiries.
The center is in Yerevan, about 7 km northeast of central Yerevan in a straight line.
