VOMA - Art of Survival
VOMA - Искусство выживания · ՈՄԱ/VOMA-Ողջ Մնալու Արվեստ
VOMA — the name stands for 'Art of Survival' — describes itself as a public military-patriotic organization working to strengthen Armenia's defense capacity. It runs a program of courses rather than a single site: military training sessions, 10-day training gatherings, cadet instruction, artillery courses, first aid classes, reservist preparation, and training for ATS (unmanned aerial vehicle) operators.
The organization operates branches beyond its Yerevan base, in Kapan, Sisian, Goris, Ararat, Yeghegnadzor, Gavar, Gyumri, Charentsavan and Khachik. It presents its work as open to citizens of Armenia and of the diaspora.
Vova Vartanov chairs the organization. Courses at the Yerevan location run weekday evenings, Monday to Friday, 19:00 to 22:00.
VOMA's Yerevan location sits roughly 5 km northeast of the city center in straight-line distance. Branches operate separately in several other towns, including Gyumri, Goris, Sisian, Ararat, Yeghegnadzor, Gavar, Kapan, Charentsavan and Khachik.
