This is the house where academician Levon Orbeli was born, converted into a house-museum by decree of the Armenian SSR Council of Ministers on 21 July 1972. The decision named it as a way to keep the memory of the Orbeli brothers alive.
The museum sits on the street in Tsaghkadzor that now carries the Orbeli brothers' name. Beyond the founding decree, little else about its collection or displays is documented here.
