People in Need is the Armenia office of a Czech humanitarian organization founded in 1992 by a group of journalists who wanted to do more than report on disasters. The Armenia branch was established in 2003 and works on humanitarian aid and development projects, with a stated focus on civil society, inclusive governance, climate resilience, and emergency response.
The office is run by Kristopher Schmitz, Country Director in Armenia, and keeps regular weekday hours, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00.
The office sits in Yerevan, roughly 2 km northwest of the city center (straight-line).
