Prime Capital LLC is a Yerevan investment firm that manages securities portfolios and investment funds under license from the Central Bank of Armenia. The Central Bank first licensed it as an investment company on January 24, 2014, then re-licensed it on December 6, 2019, this time as an investment fund manager — a narrower, more specialized role in the securities market.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. Managing a portfolio of stocks and bonds for a client is different work from running a pooled investment fund, with its own reporting obligations and Central Bank oversight. The company's stated field of activity covers both functions, but the fund-management license from 2019 is the one it currently operates under.
